Two Drifting Apart partners; Magma UNESCO Global Geopark and Kenozero National Park have embarked on a project, GEOfood, along with Saarte Geopark Project located in Estonia.

The project will further develop the GEOfood brand, supporting the creation of business connections between tourism and local food industries, both producers and restaurants. It is hoped by connecting local food suppliers with restaurants and the tourism sector that appreciation and uptake of local providence foods will increase.

The small businesses will benefit from marketing training and the combined experience of the three project partners. In turn this will support local businesses and local sustainable development, therefore benefiting the rural communities.

This GEOfood project partnership was possible thanks to Drifting Apart bringing partners together. International projects such as these allow partners to share ideas, learn from each others experience and develop projects.

Drifting Apart, continuing to bring people together.
