Kenozero National Park have published a brilliant book exploring geological heritage, including that of Kenozero National Park located in the Russian North.

A young guide from the National Park takes the reader on an adventure through 4.5billion years of history including the development of life and major changes such as ice ages and how this has shaped Earth and the Arkhangelsk region.

The hand illustrated booklet has been provided to local schools and visitor centres and is used by leaders at annual young guide school workshops and ECO-classroom summer camps.

Publications such as these were only possible due to the Drifting Apart project. The project encouraged staff to explore the geological heritage of the area and create educational material.
